HealthDirect Video Call service - now available for AHPs

Central and Eastern Sydney PHN has recently been able to obtained Department of Health funding to pilot Healthdirect Video Call services in our region and is pleased to offer General Practices and Allied Health Professionals this service free of charge.

The scope of services that can be provided access to the Video Call platform (in addition to GPs) is listed below:

Mental Health, Aged Care, Maternity Services, Indigenous health, and Allied Health including (but not limited to):

  • Paediatrics and child health;
  • Palliative medicine;
  • Psychiatry;
  • Chiropractors;
  • Diabetes Educators;
  • Exercise physiologists;
  • Mental Health Workers;
  • Midwives;
  • Nurses;
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners and Health Worker
  • Nurse Practitioners;
  • Clinical Psychologist;
  • Psychologist;
  • Occupational Therapist;
  • Social Worker;
  • Speech Pathologist; and
  • Physiotherapy

The Department has indicated that funding could be extended to 30 September 2020 in line with the COVID-19 temporary MBS Telehealth items.
