NSW Vaccine Centre disruption to vaccine orders

10 February 2020

NSW Health has advised that due to a major IT system issue affecting the NSW Vaccine Centre, all routine vaccine orders placed from Friday 31 January onwards have been delayed in NSW.

Life-saving vaccine orders (eg. rabies) through public health units have not been affected.

The IT issues are ongoing however routine orders placed since Friday 31 January are now being processed manually. All routine orders placed in the online ordering system have been delayed by approximately one week.

Immunisation providers are advised that the vaccine delivery receipt will be in a different format. The delivery receipt paperwork will include an order summary page and vaccine batch number summary page for cross checking vaccine order.

For issues around vaccine delivery, contact the NSW Vaccine Centre on 1300 656 132.

Immunisation providers who are critically low on vaccine supply should contact their Public Health Unit on 1300 066 055 for advice.
