CPD update

In March we delivered 23 events with strong attendance. The inaugural Sydney Diabetes Forum was well attended by health professionals across a number of disciplines, with positive feedback on the program content and level of education.

We also hosted an evening for GPs to better familiarise them with the RACGP requirements for the Planning Learning and Need (PLAN) activity as part of the 2017 – 2019 Triennium. If you would like more information about the PLAN activity, please contact email Samantha Fairclough or call her on 9886 4706.

New partnership events have been well attended including Proctology at The Sydney Private Hospital at Ashfield and Women’s Health at St George Private Hospital.

In the coming months we will continue to offer a variety of topics. Please visit the events page on our website to see what events are coming up until the end of June. The CPD Education Committee met on 19 April to plan topics and speakers for July through to November, and we look forward to updating the website accordingly.

As a reminder monthly events at Hazelhurst Gallery will be held on the last Thursday of each month until November. Events at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse are held once a month a Wednesday evening. CPR training, triage, dealing with difficult patients and infection control events will continue to be held in multiple locations for GPs, practice nurses, practice managers and allied health professionals respectively.

Please note it is essential to register for CPD events as from time to time capacity might be reached and ‘walk ins’ may not be able to be accommodated. Due to unforeseen circumstances an event may be cancelled or postponed and registering ensures that the CPD team is able to notify you of any changes.

We look forward to welcoming you to an event in the near future.
