Calling all Allied Health Assistants to join the new NSW AHA network NSWAHAN

NSW Allied Health assistants are invited to join the NSW AHA network NSWAHAN. This will be a network of AHAs representing and giving a voice to AHAs. NSWAHAN vision is to "Support, Promote and Advocate for AHAs across NSW".

The network will be supported by a committee of AHAs. There are two ways you can get involved:

Firstly register as a member of NSWAHAN by completing an online form at our website . It’s free to become a member.

Membership is open to full time, part time or casual AHAs including students and job seekers. Membership is open to AHAs from all sectors including (but not limited to) public health, private health, community health, NDIS.

Please use a personal email address (in case of job changes in the future).

Managers, AHPs, directors, educators and other key stakeholders are also invited to join as supporters of the network in order to stay in touch and receive newsletters. Please complete the same form at noting your role.

Secondly you can register your interest to become a NSWAHAN committee member.

Being a committee member is a volunteer position and will involve:

  • attending four x 1/2day meetings per annum
  • approx one hr per week spent on network related matters (this can be in your own time or negotiated with your manager)
  • completing research, emails and presentations
  • assisting to maintain the website
  • answering enquiries
  • supporting the national association with state wide updates
  • some Zoom meetings and phone calls
