4 May 2020

Pathways Maroubra is an out-client alcohol and other drug support service that provides drug and alcohol education, relapse prevention and management and strategies around harm minimization within the Central and Eastern Sydney Region.

In response to COVID19, Pathways Maroubra is currently providing one on one support over the phone and a Zoom AOD therapeutic group at 10.00 am on Thursdays and Fridays.

Face to face groups and case management has been suspended until further notice.

Pathways Maroubra one on one sessions are tailored to each client and can include:

  • Assessment and referrals when appropriate.
  • Positive Lifestyle Skills Program for individuals to enhance positive lifestyle change.
  • Assistance with creating a personal timetable of activities to assist clients not to become complacent during this period.
  • Running Zoom meetings twice a week with a future plan to increase (these groups also allow clients to dial in via any phone and are not required to use data).
  • Providing information on how to access current online recovery orientated groups.
  • WDO Provision on a case by case basis
  • Relapse prevention
  • Support for the client while they await admission as the waiting times have substantially increased.

New clients can complete an over the phone intake assessment prior to engagement with services.
