My Health Record Advance Care Planning information now live in NSW Health facilities

In NSW Health public hospitals and clinics, My Health Record information is accessed via the HealtheNet Clinical Portal. The viewing of Advance Care Planning information, uploaded by the consumer (or their authorised representative) to their My Health Record, is now live in HealtheNet.

Access to this information is vital in emergency situations where hospital staff need access to a patient’s records, in order to provide care that the patient wants.

NSW Health clinicians are being supported with the necessary support and education to understand the appropriate use of the Advance Care Planning information available in a consumer’s My Health Record.

Guidance regarding access procedures for Advance Care Planning information in My Health Record in both emergency and non-emergency settings can be found on the NSW Health website here.
