Osteoporosis referrals and BMD requests now on HealthLink

GPs can now refer patients for Osteoporosis Assessment and BMD studies at Concord and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals

The Endocrinology Department at Concord Hospital and the Rheumatology Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital are pleased to announce that from Tuesday 27 August 2019 HealthLink enabled general practices can now start referring patients for the assessment and management of osteoporosis including BMD requests straight from their practice software. 

So if you are using:

  • Best Practice
  • Genie
  • Medical Director

take advantage of the convenience of e-referrals using the HealthLink SmartForms available in your practice software. Refer knowing all referrals are delivered securely to the chosen service and receive updates from the service on referral acceptance and appointments times.

Sydney Local Health District is committed to making access to specialists and services simpler. Over the coming months more specialist services will be accessible through HealthLink enabled referrals. SLHD Community Paediatrics will be available from 10 September 2019.
