AOD treatment through the lens of culture training - free training for alcohol and drug workers

Run by DAMEC (the Drug and Alcohol Multicultural Education Centre), sector leader in culturally responsive AOD service delivery.
This training is targeted at Community Service workers that work directly with individuals, carers and families from culturally and linguistically diverse communities (CALD) who experience issues related to drug and alcohol use.

Training will cover: 

  • Ways in which cultural differences affect treatment presentations and needs
  • Strategies for developing accessible and effective services for clients from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities
  • Practice responding to real clinical examples
  • About resources to support CALD clients with alcohol and drug issues

  • 7 May
  • 4 June

Training will run from 9 am - 4 pm (lunch provided).
