Limited places still available for GP Leadership Training Program

CESPHN invites GPs, Practice Managers, Practice Nurses, PCMN Practices and those in a leadership role in practice to attend a series of three workshops: The Change Concept.

These workshops will focus on the foundations of change management and building your practice teams.

We encourage you to take this opportunity to work on your business, develop skills to lead change, recognise the importance of understanding your data and reflect on your practice systems to improve workday satisfaction and reduce clinician and team burnout.

Overview:

  • Assist practice leaders develop leadership and change management skills
  • Use self-assessment and self-awareness to develop more effective leadership behaviours
  • Understand the importance of leadership and empowerment in culture development of the practice
  • Understand the principles of collecting and analysing practice data, including understanding variation and its influence
  • Implement data driven improvements for chronic care in general practice
  • Understand the model for Improvement and how to do PDSA (QIA)
  • How to enhance your teams to underpin efficiency and best practice
  • Build a culture of “team base care”
  • Understand the fundamental elements of high performing teams
  • Learn to develop a practice plan focus on Quadruple AIM

Series of three consecutive workshops known as The Change Concept will be presented by Adj Professor Paresh Dawda and Dr Walid Jammal.

Workshop 2 Quality Improvement
Saturday 13 April 2019 9.00 am- 4.00 pm

Workshop 3 Team Base Care
Saturday 25 May 2019 9.00 am - 4.00 pm

The Change Concept workshops will be held at CESPHN Mascot, Level 5 201 Coward Street Mascot (Street parking available).

There is no cost to attend these workshops.
