Seeking GPs and Practice Nurses for survey on delivery of influenza vaccine

NCIRS are seeking General Practitioners and Practice Nurses to participate in a 30-45 minute interview about the delivery of influenza vaccine in adult populations.

While influenza vaccine uptake in the elderly has been relatively high in Australia, uptake in adults aged <65 years with chronic medical conditions remains stubbornly low, despite strong recommendations to vaccinate. A project supported by The National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS) is seeking to build on the limited work examining the factors impacting on influenza vaccine uptake in high risk adult groups. Understanding these factors will help inform measures to improve uptake.
This project has received ethics approval from the University of Sydney.
