Mentoring Opportunity in 2019 - RPAH Junior Doctor Mentoring Program

Junior doctors face many stressors including work-life balance, lack of support by senior staff, uncertainties in relation to career paths and training, and a heavy workload. A new program has been launched to support JMOs by aiding the development of strong relationships between junior doctors and their more senior colleagues, as well as providing them with networking opportunities.

Are you a GP registrar or recent Fellow of RACGP? Would you like to be trained as a mentor and then matched with an intern with an interest in general practice next year? The aim is to foster a culture of mentoring in the wider medical community, as these skills can be taken with registrars to other hospital networks/practices through the course of their careers.

The Central Sydney GP Network supports this initiative by the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Chief Executive/Doctors-in-Training committee and the Mentorship subcommittee and encourage you to contact Mentorship committee at RPAH on RPAmentors@gmail.com.
