Ever thought of yourself as a small “l” leader?

The Person Centred Medical Neighbourhood Program recently ran an evening for GP Clinical Leads. The night, which was facilitated by Dr Walid Jammal and Adj Prof Paresh Dawda, drew attention to an article titled 'Leadership with a small "l"'. pdf Click here (42 KB) to view the article.

The Person Centred Medical Neighbourhood Program continues to support practices and currently has eighteen general practices working in this support model.

CESPHN is looking for more “small l leaders” to drive change in their practices as the transformation of the primary health landscape continues to change and evolve.

The last line of the article was found to be particularly salient: “Any call for leadership should include a call to doctors to think of their daily work as not only treating individual patients but also helping create and manage the small scale operating systems that support their medical work”.

CESPHN will be running workshops to encourage and train the practice leaders of the future. Please register your expression of interest with Catherine Scardilli or David Scandol.
