Don't miss your chance to provide feedback on the Adult Pre-Screening System!
The Adult Pre-Exercise Screening System (APSS) was developed and launched in 2012 by a technical committee with membership from Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA), Fitness Australia (FA) and Sports Medicine Australia (SMA).
The APSS is now due for a review and the research team acknowledges the need to adopt a global approach to pre-exercise screening.
In reviewing the APSS, PAR-Q and ACSM's recommendations, the research group is investigating whether the APSS is being utilised appropriately by accredited exercise professionals in Australia to:
- ensure appropriate and thorough screening is facilitated through the use of the APSS; and
- avoid unnecessary referrals back to physicians/GPs which may hinder exercise participation.
The survey closes on Friday 16 March 2018.
