Nominations for the 2018 APNA Nurse Awards are open
There are close to 80,000 nurses working in primary health care out of the whopping 360,000 nurses registered in the country. That being said, it is primary health care that is often considered to be the heart of a healthy Australia. It’s time to celebrate your profession for what it is—amazing!
If you would like to recognise a nurse hero, look no further than the APNA Nurse Awards 2018. The awards, APNA Nurse of the Year and APNA Recently Graduated Nurse of the Year, recognise primary health care nurses who excel in their roles and communities.
APNA are looking for nominees who give their best and have made a substantial contribution in their field. That person might be you. Or you might know of a nurse who is an exceptional leader, an inspiration to have around, and often advocates on behalf of the local community.
The award winners will be presented at the 10th annual APNA National Conference: Nurseforce for the Future in Brisbane in May 2018, after which they will act as ambassadors for your profession.
