Get Healthy at Work

Get Healthy at Work is a collaboration between SafeWork NSW, the NSW Ministry of Health and icare, to enhance the health of employees by targeting individual, behavioural and workplace factors that impact poor health outcomes.

As part of SLHD Get Healthy at Work to improve the health of the Sydney Local Health District Workforce (SLHD) we are providing free, brief, confidential health checks for our staff. These are non-invasive, 15 minute checks provided by a trained health professional to identify staff at high risk for diabetes and heart disease. SLHD staff that are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes and heart disease will be referred to their local practitioner for a management plan.

HealthPathways Sydney is an online local health information portal to support local GPs with a number of useful pathways for preventative medicine and healthy lifestyle. The information may be useful to assist in supporting your management plan with referral options and additional support services.
