EOI: Clinical leadership in cancer screening

General Practitioner and Practice Nurses in Rockdale, Botany, Canterbury, Strathfield and Sydney LGAs are invited to submit an expression of interest to become a Clinical Leader through an Active Learning Module program.

The Clinical Leadership program has been designed to enhance your leadership skills and capability to successfully lead your practice through the implementation of improved cancer screening techniques.

Participant benefits

  • 40 Category 1 CPD points, or practice nurse equivalent
  • Reimbursement of time at $120.00 per hour for face to face training

The time commitment involves just 3 x 2.5 hour sessions and will provide you with a balance of contemporary leadership theory, tools and practical methods that you can use with your team to understand and leverage your leadership strengths.

Background

As GPs and nurses you are key to successfully improving the early detection of cancer. It is recognised that the vast majority of bowel, breast and cervical cancers are diagnosed in people who have never been screened, or whom are under-screened.
