Survey: Is there enough community programs for elderly men in the inner west?

Canterbury City Community Centre (4Cs) is undertaking a survey to find out if there are community programs, activities or services that men, over 65 years who live in the Burwood, Canada Bay, Canterbury – Bankstown, Inner West and Strathfield Local Government Areas would like to attend.

In general, community programs, activities or services are provided by a community organisation or group, such as 4Cs or some government agencies like local councils.

Some of you might already be involved in a community program or receiving a service with 4Cs, such as Gardencare, Men’s Shed, Bike Shed, Shed Mates or OMNICAN or at other community based services, such as your local library. Community programs, activities and services play an important role in people’s health and wellbeing. Not only do they increase people’s knowledge of their local community, but they are a great way of meeting other people who have similar interests and learning new and sharing old skills which can improve the overall quality of life for individuals and their families.

Your help with completing this survey is greatly appreciated. We would like to know the programs, activities and services that you would like to have, so we can try to provide the programs that you need and want, so that living in your local area is that little more enjoyable.

Providing your name and contact details are optional. However, if you indicate that there are programs that you would like to be involved with, we would like to be able to contact you to let you know about their progress. As an extra incentive to complete the survey, you will have the chance to go into the draw for a $50 Bunnings voucher (we will need your contact details to inform you if you win). We will draw the winners by the end of May.

You can complete the survey online:

Survey closes on 19 May 2017
