Important changes to Yellow Fever reccomendations

Australia has adopted the changes as part of the commencement of the Biosecurity Act 2015 on 16 June 2016.

The Australian Immunisation Handbook has been updated to reflect the changes. More information can be found here.

Vaccination is strongly recommended for any traveller who has never been vaccinated for yellow fever and is intending to travel to yellow fever declared countries. Border biosecurity processes will remain in place for unvaccinated travellers.

NSW Health has contacted all yellow fever accredited providers and asked for an acknowledgement and understanding of the changes.
