There are more than 2000 private allied health professionals practising within the Central and Eastern Sydney PHN boundaries. Allied Health Professionals are listed in our Service Directory together with General Practitioners and other health services. We are working with the Local Health District to include public allied health professionals.

How can I be more involved?
The Central and Eastern Sydney Allied Health Network has been established to represent allied health interests within our region. Allied health professionals including audiologists, chiropractors, dentists, diabetes educators, dietitians, exercise physiologists, mental health nurses, occupational therapists, optometrists, osteopaths, pharmacists, physiotherapists, podiatrists, psychologists, social workers (Mental Health Accredited) and speech pathologists with practices located in this region are eligible to join as ordinary members. Associate membership is available to allied health professionals who do not practice within the area or whose profession is not listed above.
We provide a range of services for allied health professionals. These include:
- Practice management support around recruitment, practice accreditation, Australian privacy principles, navigating the Medicare system
- eHealth assistance including Healthlink Connect secure messaging, National Authentication Service for Health Public Key Infrastructure Certificate for Healthcare Provider Organisation (HPO) and eHealth record system
- Support in providing chronic disease management and preventive health including claiming MBS items, maintaining quality data, implementing recall/reminder systems and disease registers, managing life-style risk factors.
HealthPathways Sydney is an online health information portal providing information on assessment and management of common health conditions, as well as local services, patient resources and referral options.
