Connector

What is the Connector service?

The Connector service provides culturally safe support and care coordination to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people or groups in the region who have experienced a recent suicide or suicide attempt either themselves or of someone they know.

The Connector service delivers holistic, person centred support to participants and connects them to required services and supports both within and outside of the community. Support is trauma-informed and recovery-oriented, and is focussed not only on the individual, but also the family, service providers and others who may be involved.

The Connector service can also provide cultural advice to other services involved with a client’s support.
