Alcohol and Other Drugs support

Vision: To work collaboratively to support a flexible and coordinated alcohol and other drugs (AOD) treatment sector that is responsive to the holistic health needs of community members experiencing AOD disorders, including assistance for families as well as other supports.

CESPHN is funded to increase the capacity of the AOD treatment sector and achieve improved health and social outcomes for individuals, families, and communities at risk of, or currently affected by, alcohol and other drugs use.

We seek to do this through improved local service coordination and targeting areas of need, with a focus on methamphetamine use. We strive to improve the effectiveness of treatment services for the individual, driving increased coordination across sectors to improve a person’s experience of care.

To achieve this we undertake an annual assessment of need for the region and commission evidence based treatment services to bridge gaps and better meet local need. We continue to collaborative with stakeholders to promote quality improvement approaches and develop the AOD workforces.
