Drug and alcohol support

Vision: To work collaboratively to support a flexible and coordinated drug and alcohol treatment sector that is responsive to the holistic health needs of community members experiencing drug and alcohol disorders, their families and supports.

CESPHN is funded to increase the capacity of the drug and alcohol treatment sector and achieve improved health and social outcomes for individuals, families, and communities at risk of, or currently affected by, drug and alcohol use.

We seek to do this through improved local service coordination and targeting areas of need, with a focus on methamphetamine use. We strive to improve the effectiveness of treatment services for the individual, driving increased coordination across sectors to improve a person’s experience of care.

To achieve this we undertake an annual assessment of need for the region and commission evidence based treatment services to bridge gaps and better meet local need. We continue to collaborative with stakeholders to promote quality improvement approaches and develop the AOD workforces.
