What is HEAL™ Program?

The Healthy Eating Activity and Lifestyle (HEAL™) program is a lifestyle modification program that supports people to develop lifelong healthy eating and physical activity habits. The program consists of eight weekly healthy lifestyle education and group exercise sessions facilitated by university-trained allied health professionals.

What are the program benefits?

The HEAL™ program is a national evidence based program administered by Exercise & Sports Science Australia. The program offers people an environment where they can manage their weight, reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes, or manage existing diseases like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. Evidence shows that participants who completed the program made improvement in a number of health outcomes including weight, waistline, physical activity level, eating habits, and blood pressure.
