National Relay Service (NRS)

The NRS is useful if you’re patient is deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired. The NRS provides support to communicate with family friends and services and helps to communicate over the phone, and most services are available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week:

  • TTY users can phone 13 36 77
  • Speak and Listen (speech-to-speech) users can phone 1300 555 727
  • Internet relay users can connect to the NRS on relayservice.com.au
